We have been tremendously pleased with Jason Anthony as our Upward Awards Night entertainer. Jason kept the audience on the edge of their seat as he used his gift of chalk art to share the gospel message in a very unique and exciting way. Not only did the kids ranging from 4-13 years of age love him, so did the adults. After his presentation the church staff decided to have him back to speak at our Sunday morning services. Over one hundred people came forward to make decisions about their spiritual walk with God. Some accepted Christ for the first time; others recommitted tier lives, while others turned their burdens over to the Lord. We will be asking Jason back.

Jason Anthony gave one of the clearest presentations of the Gospel I have ever seen. He held the interest of all the children and their parents. The minute Jason stepped on the stage and began speaking, the children were glued to every word. His expressions and his story-telling captivated the entire audience. The sanctuary was completely silent as he spoke–I have never seen a speaker capture children’s attention in such a way! One father commented that his son can never sit still in church, but this very same son never moved a muscle the entire night while Jason was speaking and drawing.

The multi-media presentation that followed the chalk drawing was amazing. Never would we have dreamed to have had such an experience as this was. One mother told of her five-year old daughter going home and telling her grandmother the entire story of how Jesus died and then walked out of the tomb. Seeds were planted in Columbia MS that night–from the youngest child to the oldest person there.

With Jason, our Upward Awards Night changed from a celebration of our season to a truly worshipful experience. There is no doubt that God was glorified in our church that night!
